J.Lo Steps Out With A Necklace That Makes Bennifer Official-Official

As if their steamy makeout photo wasn’t enough proof that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are in fact back together, the newest addition to Lopez’ jewelry collection certainly is.

One day after the couple made it Instagram-official on Lopez’s feed, photos of the singer-actress surfaced of her shopping in Monaco, where she has been celebrating her 52nd birthday with Affleck. In them, she can be seen wearing a white linen minidress with a Nick Fouquet sun hat, a Valentino handbag, and two gold necklaces — one with a heart-shaped diamond pendant and another embellished with three capital letters: B, E, and N. And unlike her fedora-style hat and heart necklace, which were both present in the birthday bikini shots, her other neck bauble appears to be brand new.

Since it was her birthday, it’s reasonable to assume that Lopez received the diamond-studded tribute as a (presumptuous) gift from Affleck. Unfortunately, it seems that while he did spend a pretty penny on Foundrae jewelry for Lopez, the “BEN” necklace wasn’t included in the bunch, according to an interview with the brand’s founder in The Adventurine. It’s also possible that the accessory is but another in a Taylor Swift-level list of Easter eggs that the couple has been dropping since the end of April, when Affleck was first seen visiting Lopez’s Los Angeles home. (In May, the Gone Girl star was spotted in Miami wearing what appeared to be the same watch he wore in J.Lo’s 2002 “Jenny From The Block” music video.)

Both Lopez and Affleck have been known to show their love in the form of customized accessories. In 2020, Affleck and then-girlfriend Ana de Armas were seen wearing matching heart necklaces on various occasions. A year prior, while promoting her appearance on Saturday Night Live in 2019, Lopez wore large hoop earrings with “Alex” engraved on them, the name of her former fiancé Alex Rodriguez.

What Does It Mean That Carrie Bradshaw Is Wearing Her Flower Pin Again?

Over the weekend, the cast of the Sex And The City reboot, And Just Like That, was spotted in full fashion form at the Manhattan School of Music in Morningside Heights. During their rendezvous uptown, we caught a glimpse of who many believe to be Brady Hobbes all grown up, Stanford Blatch (Willie Garson) in a very Stanford Blatchy blue-and-yellow tailored ensemble, and, most importantly, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), wearing her famed flower pin 21 years after it debuted in the series’ third season.

Specifically, the show’s star wore a long, ivory-colored blazer with an oversized Chanel rose pin. And Just Like That costume designers Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago then added a green midi-length skirt and another Carrie signature: her blue, satin Manolo Blahniks that she wore to her courthouse nuptials with Mr. Big (Chris Noth) in the SATC movie.

Carrie’s eye-catching blossom first appeared in Season 3, Episode 2, following her second break-up with Big. (That time, she wore the brooch pinned to her go-to fur coat from the era.) According to The New York Daily News, its addition into her wardrobe was meant to symbolize the arrival of spring, as well as the possibility of new love, which makes sense given Season 3’s story line that saw her short-lived relationship with The Politician, aka Bill Kelley (John Slattery). They, of course, didn’t work out, but that didn’t stop Carrie from continuing her search, eventually meeting Aidan Shaw (John Corbett). Throughout the couple’s honeymoon period, similar flower pins are a regular accessory for Carrie.

Given that the recent And Just Like That script leak, reported by Page Six, hints that Carrie and Big are on the outs again, it would make sense for the former to reintroduce the accessory into her wardrobe. The sentimental addition of her wedding Manolos, however, suggests a different story entirely.

Like everyone else, though, we’ll have to wait for the show’s premiere, which is reportedly arriving later this year, to know for sure what the return of Carrie’s flower pin means for her modern-day character. In the meantime, catch us analyzing Season 3 for clues.

Issa Rae’s Surprise Wedding Included Two Vera Wang Dresses

On Sunday, Issa Rae married her longtime partner Louis Diame. She wore a custom Vera Wang wedding dress that made the actress look like a real-life princess.

For the occasion, Rae chose a strapless ball gown from Vera Wang complete with Chantilly lace and hand-sewn crystal beading, according to the brand. The actress paired the dress with a chapel-length veil and silver peep-toe shoes. After the ceremony, Rae changed into her second Vera Wang look: a lily-white Italian silk-crepe A-line gown with plunging V-neck and layered tulle skirt.

On Monday, the actress shared the look on Instagram with her classic wit. “A) Impromptu photo shoot in a custom @verawang dress. B) My girls came to help me, but they all coincidentally had on the same dress! They were sooooo embarrassed. C) Then I took a few flicks with Somebody’s Husband,” Rae joked, feigning a typical influencer sponcon caption.

Designer Vera Wang took to Instagram to congratulate the couple, writing: “You look ethereal! Wishing you and Louis continued happiness and joy in your new life together.”

Rae’s dress is the latest Vera Wang look to make an appearance this wedding season. Back in May, singer Ariana Grande channeled Audrey Hepburn on her big day with a Vera Wang strapless gown. In July, Gwen Stefani honored her kids and husband Blake Shelton with her custom Vera Wang veil, which included their names embroidered along the hemline.

Here are some less pricey options to channel Issa Rae’s princess-like gown on your wedding day.
