How To Effortlessly Style Quince’s Motorcycle Jacket For The Office & A Night Out

Bundle up because the weather is getting colder, and we’re no longer waiting around. Outerwear season has returned, and it’s time to spruce up your leather jacket collection with a brand-new item or two. If there’s one item you need to buy, it’s Quince’s 100% Motorcycle Jacket. Trust me when I say that this is my first piece from Quince, and I can fully understand now why the brand is an R29 reader and editor favorite.

The sustainable label offers many items at an affordable price without cutting corners when it comes to cut, fit, and feel. The leather motorcycle jacket is one of the pieces that are too good to pass up. I assure you the buttery-soft outerwear is slowly becoming one of my fall staples. I’ve already started curating transitional ‘fits with button-downsskirts, and boots. So whether you’re a fan of Quince and looking to add a new product to your growing collection or you’re in the same boat as me and curious about what to try beyond the usual washable silk dress or skirt, read on ahead.

Quince 100% Leather Motorcycle Jacket, $149.90

Let’s begin with the background of Quince’s motorcycle jacket. It’s the first of its kind with sleek, biker chic hardware at $149.90. The brand has two other basic leather jackets — one with a hood and another with a stand collar. However, this new version has edgy zip details on the pockets and sleeves along with a belted hem. Although all three jackets are made out of 100% top-grain leather and cost the same, the motorcycle version has the most reviews, with over 250, and a robust 4.9 stars.

This version comes in two neutral shades: black and cognac brown. Both are ideal for elevated autumn ensembles, especially the latter, but I wanted one that I could wear year-round. Also, since it has a slim cut, I opted for a size medium in the black hue for an oversize look. The outwear ranges from a size XS to XL. I found the medium to be roomy enough for me to wear cozy sweaters underneath in the fall/winter, although I prefer to keep it open instead of zipping it. I also appreciate how this one was much lighter than my other thick shearling leather jackets.

Open up the gates to creative dressing because the styling capabilities of this outerwear are boundless. The first outfit that I assembled was a bikercore-inspired one. (A different aesthetic than my usual cottagecore, but hey, it fits the motorcycle jacket’s aesthetic.) I fashioned the piece with an ivory silk V-neck tank, knee-high black boots, and a denim miniskirt with an elastic waist for a cinched look. To complete the ‘fit, I chose simple accessories of a delicate pearl necklace and my white Palace baseball cap. It roughly took 10 minutes to put together the entire outfit. An easy-to-style look that would work for date night or a Friday gathering with friends, don’t you think?

My next ensemble was more fitting for a casual day in the office. I borrowed my fiancé’s white, breezy button-down — his is much comfier than mine — and tucked it inside my Urban Outfitter cargo jeans. White ankle booties were the choice in footwear for this getup, and the elastic hem of my jeans resulted in a stylish scrunched-up appearance. There’s also the more professional look of black trousers, but my work isn’t that strict with what you wear. (To my coworkers who are reading this, I’ll be wearing this to the office sometime soon.) Plus, it’s an effortless look to go out for dinner afterward.

“I’m so happy I found this leather jacket! The style and quality are excellent, and it fits so many occasions.”

Quince Reviewer

Initiate me into the fan club, as I now proclaim myself an official Quince fan — I’ve begun sorting through its never-ending inventory for other essential pieces. I wholeheartedly agree with the reviewers who rave that the luxe buttery soft jacket is a must-have staple for when the weather gets cooler. Additionally, I’m surprised, along with the rest of the reviewers, that based on the quality, it’s a steal at the unbeatable price of $149.90 — most leather outerwear can quickly dip into the $200-$300 range. So hear me, readers, when I say don’t dawdle for too long: Pick up your own while it’s back in stock.

11 Super-Chic Shoes That Are So Very Comfortable

If you suffer from any number of foot alignment issues — be it as simple as having flat feet or dealing with plantar fasciitis — you understand the frustrations of being limited to the types of cute shoes you can comfortably wear. Australian footwear brand Vionic Shoes is determined to change the idea of what a “comfortable shoe” looks like — and we’re pleased to report that there is nary a hideous orthopedic shoe in sight. Instead, the assortment of footwear ranges from luxurious-looking black leather booties, chic heels that won’t have you hobbling off the dance floor, and charming loafers that don’t irritate the big toe joints.

Every single shoe has built-in support called Vio-Motion Technology, which was designed with surfboard-molding techniques. It mimics the evenness your natural soles feel when stepping on sand and translates that technology to women’s shoes. What begets is a collection of comfy boots, heels, sneakers, sandals, and slippers that not only support every step you take but also aim to correct your over-pronated foot and encourage natural alignment.

All of these arch-hugging shoes are offered in a medium width (which is great news for bunion-prone shoe-wearers) and shoe sizes range from 5 to 11. Scroll ahead for a few of our favorite styles, ranging from sandals to knee-high boots, that are sure to lift you off your feet.

Savage X Fenty Debuts Loungewear Collection — With Help From Gossip Girl’s Jordan Alexander

LN2253588-0886, LN2253575-0886. Lounge, Jordan

Last week, Savage X Fenty launched its newest loungewear collection, Xssentials, and the line is everything you’ll need this fall. From soft fabrics to bold vibrant color options, the intimates brand not only wants us to feel sexy but comfortable and cozy within. RUN, don’t walk to get your hands on this collection.

Over the last few years, Savage X has released a number of loungewear pieces on its site that have quickly become fan favorites. It’s exciting to see the brand expanding into other elements of loungewear and tapping inspiration from Rihanna’s personal style into some of these pieces. The jogger pajamas, cropped hoodies, matching tees, and shorts aren’t just for indoor relaxation — you can incorporate them into your daily ‘fits as well, especially if you’re a matching set girl like me. There’s a piece in this collection for everyone. (I personally live in my Forever Savage hooded onesie because I love how comfortable the material is.)

With the new launch also comes new ambassadors, and Savage X has added Gossip Girl star Jordan Alexander to its roster. Her style is edgy and unique, so it makes perfect sense that she was chosen to showcase the new collection. Unbothered had the opportunity to speak with the actress about becoming a Savage X ambassador, her personal journey with lingerie/intimates, and her favorite thing about the comfy new loungewear line.

Unbothered: What does it mean to you to be the newest Savage X ambassador?

Jordan Alexander: Honestly, it’s like a dream! It’s actually funny because it’s kind of like the epitome of a treat and a luxury for me. When I first got the job for Gossip Girl, I said I would treat myself, so I just went on Savage X Fenty’s website and splurged on pieces like the teddy, the underwear in various colors, and pieces from the Caution Tape collection — which are still some of my favorite pieces to date. To then be recognized by a brand like Savage X makes me even more excited and over the moon to be an ambassador for the brand now.

I appreciate how calming and therapeutic [Savage Xssentials] is on my skin — it’s relaxing but simultaneously very sexy.

How are you incorporating the pieces from Savage X’s Xssentials collection into your wardrobe?

JA: I’m definitely a supporter of inside clothes being worn as outerwear because I love to feel like I’m able to express myself and be in a nice mode at the same time. The fabric in this collection is smooth and warm, and I’m very into it. I’ll definitely be wearing it both inside and outside and blending the pieces with more formal and casual wear.

Have you always been into lingerie/intimates as fashion, or were you initially shy about wearing them out?

JA: Honestly, buying all of those Savage X Fenty pieces (like the stockings and garters belts) two years ago was the first time I’d ever done something like that. I usually would buy pieces just for function, not fashion, but I was buying pieces that made me feel good. It definitely satisfied that ambition to start embracing that side of me.

Can you describe how the Xssentials collection feels? What’s your favorite type of fabric and style when it comes to intimates/lingerie?

JA: The new Savage X Fenty loungewear has a very rich vibe about it, from the texture to the vibrant colors that were chosen. I wore a purple set, and I absolutely loved how luxuriously the color popped on my skin. This new collection will have everyone feeling that way too, especially because of the softness of the cotton fabric. When it comes to lingerie, I love silk fabric and usually buy silk teddies and little nightgown dresses. I appreciate how calming and therapeutic it is on my skin — it’s relaxing but simultaneously very sexy.
