Bow down to the bows, the favored accessory of cool girls everywhere. They can adorn your hair, be added to your bag for a Jane Birkin effect, or be printed on a baby tee — the possibilities are seemingly endless.
Of course, as with most trends, this one started on the runway. Last season, Simone Rocha practically dedicated her entire show to the motif. Models were sent down the runway sporting fine red bows in their hair, while others had delicate bows placed under their eyes (you've definitely seen the TikTok filter this inspired). And when it came to the clothes, Rocha adorned dresses, bodysuits, and more with the same fine red ribbons. Sandy Liang is another major proponent of the trend. During her Spring/Summer 2024 show, the designer displayed satin bow belts attached to mini skirts and also created clutch bags in the shape.
If you want to get the downtown princess look (and emulate all things 'girl core'), scroll through our list of the cutest clothing embellished with bows.

That’s so fetch! Mean Girls is back (although, did it really ever leave?) with a new movie hitting theaters on Friday, January 12. And if you’re as excited as we are to see the iconic storyline play out again, we think you’ll love the new Mean GirlsX American Eagle collaboration. The retailer, which I find synonymous with my teenage years, just dropped a nostalgic and totally “grool” 12-piece collection that celebrates the original 2004 film, the 2017 Broadway musical, and the new movie-musical hybrid.
American Eagle’s Mean Girls Shop contains graphic T-shirts and sweatshirts (all under $80) that feature some of our favorite references to the original movie — think “That’s so fetch,” and “You go, Glen Coco!” You’ll also find limited-edition denim pieces with pops of pink and Gretchen Wieners-approved argyle prints.
Regardless of which Mean Girls character you want to channel, jump on this limited-edition collection before it sells out. Come on loser, we’re going shopping!
Pretty In Pink
You didn’t think this collection was going to be lacking in pink, did you? From baby pink to Barbie pink, these pieces are perfect for wearing on Wednesdays….or any day of the week. You can get cozy in an oversized hoodie with the movie’s most famous quote or go for fitted tanks and crop tops. Because if you’ve been personally victimized by Regina George…there’s a shirt for that. There’s also a modern interpretation of the “a little bit dramatic” shirt Regina wore in the OG movie, and a tank top with “fetch” written on it (in place of two revealing cutouts, of course).
School Spirit
The Plastics only wear jeans on Fridays (and maybe that’s why American Eagle didn’t create a pair for this collection), but we can still enjoy this collab’s denim pieces all week long. The argyle denim jacket and matching tote, the denim mini skirt with pink pocket stitching, and the North Shore High School baby tee make for a modern school uniform, but they’re also great elevated basics for wearing out anywhere. (You can also find an AE xMean Girlscurvy-stretchy denim skirt, sans pink stitching).
Cozy & Quirky
I personally think oversized T-shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies make for the best movie merch, so if you want to show off your love for Mean Girls, check these ones out. Find two cotton fleece sweatshirts with the cringey-turned-iconic tagline “That’s so fetch.” And don’t think they forgot about our dear Damian: Pick from a zip-up hoodie that calls out the fan-favorite Glen Coco scene or a punky graphic tee that reads, “She doesn’t even go here.” Shut up! Shut up! We can’t even control our excitement over these pieces or for the new movie.

Sorry, but it might be time to boot all your shoes to the curb. Pointed-toe boots are in, and they are all we want to wear this season. From knee-high to ankle boots, the timeless shoe is a wardrobe staple for its ability to elevate any look, taking it from relaxed ‘fit to NYFW-ready.
Bid your worn-out booties adieu with a new pair of pointed-toe ankle boots. The short height makes it a comfy shoe for professional events and laid-back occasions year-round. If you’re in the market for a worthy investment, consider our team’s quiet luxury queen’s pick: Khaite The Marfa Ankle Boot.
“Hear me out, I know these are wildly expensive, but there are a few reasons why these boots are personally worth the investment,” says Senior Affiliate Strategist Kate Spencer. “First, I am a baggy jean and trouser girl, and these immediately elevate any casual look. Second, a black ankle boot is guaranteed to never go out of style. And finally, there’s some sort of magic worked into the silhouette of this shoe because they’re flat boots (perfect for an NYC dweller) but elongated because of the slightly squared pointed toe. If you pair them with the right pant, they make you look like you’re wearing a heel! Magic, I tell you.”
Whether you’re in the mood to try out a show-stopping over-the-knee boot in glistening gold or minimalistic black, we’ve got styles that’ll make a statement with every step. You’ll likely only need one of these special-occasion shoes, so shop for the best kind from our list. There are slouchy over-the-knee styles, more fitted ones designed for date nights or GNOs, and comfy wide-leg kinds from brands like Vince Camuto and H&M. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and into a wildly fun pair of pointed-toe boots.
The Best Pointed-Toe Cowboy Boots
Make it Western but with a modern twist. We’re talking about pointed-toe cowboy boots in leather, suede, and mixed fabrics — this isn’t any ol’ rodeo. These booties have eye-catching details that’ll make you want to throw on an oversized jean jacket or your favorite jeans and dance. Select pairs are decorated with intricate floral embroidery and stitching while others have luxe embossed patterns.

With the new year bringing with it a bounty of bold fashion trends — denim gowns and mesh footwear, to name a few — it’s easy to overlook what’s happening with all things jewelry. Necklaces and earrings might be the last thing you put on when piecing together an outfit, but they’re certainly not the least part of the whole ensemble, especially as far as 2024’s trending styles are concerned.
The spring/summer runways teased a y2k-meets-bohemian tone that will take center stage in the months ahead, and anyone who remembers the state of fashion in the early 2000s knows that accessories play an important role in perfecting this particular look. Body chains are back, as are belts that are more decorative than they are functional, shoulder-grazing earrings, and layers of beads and chains. For those who aren’t ready for this type of aesthetic comeback, there are other jewelry trends gaining steam, including floral chokers (resembling 2024’s popular blossom bags) and anklets. Below, we’ve rounded up the biggest and the best 2024 jewelry trends that’ll have you shining stylishly bright.
Jewelry Trend 2024: Rosettes
Three-dimensional florals will be in full bloom across the spring/summer 2024 fashion landscape with designers replacing patterns of petals with more dramatic takes on the motif. In the accessories department, there were floral headpieces, not-your-grandmother’s brooches and chokers at Chanel and rosettes of all kinds including necklaces, earrings, and belts at Simone Rocha and Blumarine.
Jewelry Trend 2024: Anklets
With lots of high-fashion ankle activity happening thanks to designers such as Paco Rabanne and Miu Miu, there’s one shoe-adjacent jewelry trend in the mix that will be easy to incorporate into your 2024 accessories lineup: the humble anklet. Opt for something sleek and simple like Fendi’s gold, tubular styles, or glam things up with a pearly take on the trend, Ã la Simone Rocha.
Jewelry Trend 2024: Oceanic Influence
In addition to the pops of oceanic blue favored by Bottega Veneta, Versace, and Ferragamo, designers like Collina Strada and Schiaparelli went diving deep for accessories inspiration. This resulted in chokers and large pendants made to look like starfish, lobsters, crabs, and other sea creatures. But if a giant necklace featuring a fish carcass is not for you, you can still dabble in the trend with significantly smaller charms and studs that pay homage to the ocean.
Jewelry Trend 2024: Super Sized
If a giant fish carcass necklace is for you — or at least large accessories of an equally dramatic nature — expect to have fun leaning into all things oversized when it comes to 2024 jewelry trends. According to Pinterest’s annual trend prediction report, big, sculptural jewelry and “larger-than-life accessories” will be top of mind this year.
Jewelry Trend 2024: Bows
The year 2024 will be all about bows. While a number of girly fashion trends have been gaining popularity in recent seasons, this particular adornment has been spotted everywhere from the runway (Balmain and Sandy Liang) to the red carpet (Olivia Rodrigo and Sydney Sweeney). Whether it’s a necklace, a hair clip, or a bracelet, tie up your favorite piece of jewelry with a ribbon for a very on-trend look.
Jewelry Trend 2024: Chunky Silvers
At The Attico, it was the necklaces. At Armarium and Valentino, it was the earrings. At Tory Burch, it was the bangles (with earrings getting an honorable mention, too). Big, beautiful silver jewelry had a major moment across the SS24 collections, and we expect to see more of the heavy metal popping up in the months ahead.
No, that wasn’t a typo. A singular statement earring was embraced by the likes of Valentino, Prabal Gurung, and Gucci. But if wearing just one eye-catching piece will leave your face feeling half naked, try an asymmetrical pair as was done at Etro and Erdem instead for the same unique appeal but with no lobe left behind.
