Debutante Shruti Haasan is yet to get exp0sed to the world but the new gal has already started to make headlines. First, her bikini strip created news, second her talent in singing astonished all and now her nose surgery is creating hullabaloo. Where actresses in Bollywood still hesitate to reveal any surgery done on them, Shruti is bold enough to accept the nose job done on her. She has no qualm in accepting that before the shooting of "Luck", she has got her nose job done.
Shruti claimed that it was not for any beautification but for medical purpose as for a long time she was suffering from breathing problem.Shruti quips, "It is true that I underwent a nose surgery while I was abroad recently. But that was because I had a medical condition that restricted free breathing. There was no other reason for that. Now, after her surgery, I can finally sleep in peace and it has also enhanced my vocal skills".
Shruti had got the surgery done in the US. As Shruti is a band singer, before the surgery, she made sure that it would not affect her vocal chord. How much talent Kamal Hassan and Sarika's daughter got in acting and singing can be judged from "Luck" as it is going to hit the theatre on 24 July.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a 'Model Citizen'

January 30 2009 21:45 PST

She's one of the biggest actresses in the country and is often referred to as 'the most beautiful woman in the world,' so it's pretty easy to forget that Aishwarya came from humble beginnings before her meteoric rise to the top. The gorgeous gal was born in Mangalore before her family moved to Mumbai. And she's not just a pretty face, Aishwarya was actually a pretty good student and she had planned on a career as an architect! Thank goodness things didn't turn out as she planned!
While in college, the Southern beauty began modeling on the side. In 1994 she was runner-up at the Miss India pageant, to Sushmita Sen and went on to win the Miss World title that made her famous in the same year. Here's a little known fact. She also won the 'Miss Photogenic' title at the pageant – and we can see why! Aishwarya went on to London where she upheld her title for a year and became a professional model before becoming the actress that we all know today.
Aishwarya made her film debut in a Tamil movie 'Iruvar' in 1997 and then her Bollywood debut in 'Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya' in the same year opposite Bobby Deol. Aishwarya has certainly come a long way from those days, with films like, 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,' 'Devdaas,' and 'Dhoom 2.' Not to mention her high profile relationships with Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi, finally leading to her marriage to Abhishek Bachchan.
Throughout the years she has modeled for a number of high profile campaigns such as, Swiss luxury watch brand Longiness, Nakshatra diamonds, and probably most notably international cosmetics brand L'Oreal! With L'Oreal, Aishwarya's ads appear alongside Hollywood stars such as, Eva Longoria, Eva Medes, and Heather Locklear.
No matter what your opinion may be, there's no denying Aishwarya has achieved a highly successful career since her modeling days, and it's still continuing

Aiswarya

Mumbai, Jan 16 (IANS) It is going to be a very busy year for Aishwarya Rai. She not only has Mani Ratnam's gruelling "Ravan" with husband Abhishek Bachchan to complete, she also begins work on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next movie, with Hrithik Roshan, to be shot in Goa.
But before that she goes into filmmaker Vipul Shah's next film with Akshay Kumar in the lead. Both Vipul and Akshay, who are co-producing the film, were very keen to get Aishwarya for what they describe as a genre-breaking drama.
Aishwarya has also signed up Excel Entertainment's untitled thriller to be directed by Abhinay Deo, who is currently busy shooting his directorial debut "Delhi Belly".
For the film, Aishwarya will once again team up with hubby Abhishek.
Confirming the news, Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment said: "It would be a very stylish thriller to be shot entirely in Greece, Thailand, Istanbul and London.
"My director Abhinay Deo and I want a particular look for the film. We're trying to get the DOP (director of photography) of the new Nike international commercial. If not, there's Jason West who shot our 'Rock On!'. He can capture that subtle sleek look which the subject demands. We want the film's visual quality to be something never experienced by our audience."
The film would be Aishwarya's second with Abhishek after "Ravan".
