The R29 Shopping team's own Karina Hoshikawa reviewed this unassuming but stunning slip dress a few years ago — and it still remains one of Amazon Fashion's best-kept secrets. Hoshikawa writes, "The color is on point. The price is right. The shipping was free and fast. It's comfortable. It's cute. It can be dressed up or down with minimal styling effort required. PYGFEMR Short Sleeve Babydoll Dress

It's no secret that this babydoll dress has very little shape or silhouette to it, but that's precisely the point. We think this would make for a great summer dress if you wanna throw it on and go for an easy weekend. "Since I’m bigger chested, it falls straight in front of me so I'd only wear it with a belt," writes one viewer. "It's perfect for warm weather and to accessorize. So cute!"

Halife Casual Spaghetti Strap Midi Dress with Pockets

With 4.1 out of 5 stars and over 9K reviews, this spring dress could be considered one of Amazon Fashion's classic styles. "This dress is so cute and simple! There are so many ways to style it and it fits perfectly! I always worry about the straps and length as I am very short and dresses tend to be too long or the top part hangs low on the chest but not with this dress! Only thing I wish is that the material was a little thicker. It's very thin but helps it be a little flowy," writes a reviewer.

Did you really think you'd get through an entire dress roundup without seeing a denim style in the mix? I love everything about this dress! The size is perfect, the quality is excellent! Love!" explains a reviewer.

Yes, we're very aware that this boho maxi dress could also look like a wedding dress (we should mention, it does come in multiple colors!) — but we simply cannot resist a lacy moment for summer. "The cut and color of this dress are very flattering. I'm 5'5" 140lbs and the Medium fit perfectly. You don't have to wear a slip under it, as the skirt and bodice are fully lined and very soft. My new favorite dress!" says a reviewer.

KOJOOIN Sheer Mesh Dress

While the model has fashioned this sheer dress into a beach coverup, we think that this dress would be much better suited as a layered piece over, say, a slip dress or bodysuit. The embroidered flowers are also a fun way to lean into the blooming springtime sun.

Mitilly Loose Swing Casual Dress

While most of the dresses in this roundup boast a rather traditional construction, this fluttery mini dress has some unexpected details, like an asymmetrical drop empire waist, three-quarter sleeves, and the all-over ruffle hems. Unique? We'd sure say so.

"I don't usually bother writing reviews, but for this dress I had to!! I needed something feminine and youthful and fresh looking AND something that would make me look SLIMMER! JACKPOT!!" writes one enthused wearer. "I'm curvy and this dress drapes - PERFECTLY. I can even get away with wearing this to church - no tights and high heels and still look APPROPRIATE. Ladies, it takes me FOREVER to find something to hide all flaws and highlight the areas I don't mind showing off - and this dress does just that!!!"

7 Engagement Ring Trends That Are Defining 2023, According to Experts

Unlike popular runway styles, engagement ring trends tend to move on a slower, subtler track (there’s not a wedding ring equivalent of a butterfly top or leather harness, after all).  Even so, options are still diverse and run the gamut, ranging from traditional designs like solitaire settings all the way to modern interpretations like black diamond ring rings or bezel-set bands. For 2023, experts point to a similarly varied array of ring trends taking off, with options that both die-hard minimalists and those with bolder tastes can envision slipping on their fingers.

If you happen to be in the market for an engagement ring and find yourself overwhelmed by choosing one style to wear for the rest of your life — don’t. “Often people put a lot of pressure on an engagement ring, thinking they have to love it forever, so they end up choosing something traditional,” Meadowlark co-founder Claire Hammon says. “But things change, and you can remodel your ring in the future as your style evolves.”

When looking for an engagement ring that resonates with your personal style, designer Ashley Zhang says to begin with a digital mood board of sorts. “Save screenshots of any and all styles of rings you like. After a few weeks you might be surprised to find that a few of them have similar looks or elements,” she says. Once you have a general sense of the vibe you’re going for, according to GIA expert Nellie Barnett, you should focus on the center stone, asking questions like: “Are you a dazzling diamond type of person or attracted to a pop of color using emerald, morganite, or a different kind of gemstone?” From there, she adds, look for a gemstone with a report.

All of this to say, choosing an engagement ring that’s right for you isn’t a perfect science. It’s a mix of gut instinct and what’s available in the current market. If you’re not sure where to start, ahead, seven trends that are taking over 2023.

Rings With Colored Stones

Non-diamond center stones have steadily climbed in popularity over the last few years and experts point to this trend as one that will only grow through 2023. “Colored stones will be going strong for a long time,” Hammon predicts. Zhang notes that her team has also been receiving more requests for colored stones than ever before. “These can either be as the center and main stone or as accents,” she says. “Using colored gemstones is a great way to have a unique look… These rings still feel bridal and special but also bold and different.”

Yellow Gold Bands

While Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw had a bone to pick with her yellow gold engagement ring band, the trend has become a preferred option in recent years. “Yellow gold is our most requested metal,” Zhang says. “I think this choice in settings will stay strong. The contrast of the yellow with white diamonds really makes them pop.” If you’re going especially unique, consider mixing silver and gold metals when choosing a wedding band to complement your stone.

Chunky Bands

Though dainty, delicate rings have been in favor for seemingly forever, the pendulum is beginning to swing in the opposite direction. “Bold pieces will grow in popularity,” Marrow Fine founder and creative director, Jillian Sassone, says. “Metal-heavy chunky settings have been requested the most in 2022, and I don’t see that slowing down. If anything, our brides and grooms are doubling down on that by adding cigar bands and other statement-making wedding bands to their bridal sets.”

Vintage-Inspired Rings

A “vintage-inspired” engagement ring can mean a lot of things from types of settings (e.g. Art Deco) to cuts (Old European), but a general sense of old-meets-new is permeating current trends. “I’ve seen an increase in demand for reimagining heirloom stones into new designs that feel more aligned with the bride’s or groom’s style,” Sassone notes. Zhang has also seen an uptick in old gemstones. “Old-mine cut diamonds and antique cushions are the most desired request we get,” she says. “These stones are rare and extremely difficult to find. Mined and cut over 100 years ago, they have such a unique sparkle.”

Non-Traditional Rings

You might think of engagement ring bands as falling into three main categories: gold, rose gold, and silver. But for 2023, that might change. “Our popular Til Death band is ideal for our brides and grooms who want to make a big statement about their love,” Sassone says about the black enamel band emblazoned with the words “til death.” “It feels like a Victorian throwback while the old English type brings an edge that is resonating with couples wanting a bold non-traditional wedding band.” Other materials such as tungsten carbide and teakwood also lend unexpected elements to otherwise-traditional settings.

Step-Cut Diamond Rings

For brides with pared-back style, Sassone says to watch out for step-cut diamonds — a square or rectangle stone with parallel facets on all four sides, resembling steps — as a trend in 2023. “I love a step-cut diamond for a minimalist,” she says. “The clean architectural lines are perfect for someone with style but who doesn’t want a lot of flash.”

Pear and Oval Rings

While celebrity engagements don’t always move the needle for trends, Sassone says Sydney Sweeney’s mega-round brilliant was noteworthy. In addition to classic round shapes, both oval- and pear-shaped rings will continue to trend next year. “Hailey Bieber’s oval engagement ring is still a piece that clients reference,” she says. “Pear and oval shapes elongate the finger and look spectacular on any hand.”

Teva’s Dad Sandals Got The High-Fashion Treatment Thanks To Chloé — & Katie Holmes’ Stamp Of Approval

Our warm-weather style game just got a major upgrade thanks to a brand-new collaboration between Teva and Chloé.

Launching today, the three-piece collection blends the sporty, dad-chic aesthetic of the go-to sandal brand with the soft femininity the luxury French fashion house is known for, creating lightweight, summer-ready shoes. The line offers fresh takes on two of Teva’s best loved styles: the ultra-functional Hurricane XLT2 (available in an earthy off-white) and the platformed Hurricane XLT2 Ampsole (available in a classic black-and-white, and a playful multicolor-pink). Each sandal was made using recycled materials for the straps that are adorned with the Chloé logo.

Added bonus: the collection already has Hollywood’s stamp of approval, too: Katie Holmes was spotted out in NYC wearing a pair of the sandals.

The high-fashion team-up makes Chloé the latest in a long line of designers and brands to collab with Teva. Christian Cowan, Outdoor Voices, Anna Sui, UGG, and Polaroid have all lent their own style to the brand’s iconic sandals in the past. The Chloé x Teva collection retails between $490 and $575 and is available now in Chloé boutiques as well as online at both Chloe.com and Teva.com.

8 Jewelry Trends That Will Ensure You Shine Bright In 2023

If your outfits aren’t making you smile, it might be time to update your accessories collection. At least that’s what Shopbop fashion director Caroline Maguire believes, based on what customers are adding to their carts right now. The sartorial vibe for 2023’s jewelry trends, it seems, is happy, and nothing guarantees a good time like a bit of sparkle.

“Overall, we’re seeing a need for fun and functional styles that can be worn daily,” Maguire says. The right piece of jewelry in particular, she adds, can be just the thing to put the fun in functional. Think: a rule-breaking pair of earrings or a mood-boosting pop of color to decorate an otherwise-simple ensemble.

If bright hues and bold statement pieces aren’t quite right for your personal style, don’t fret. There is no one-size-fits-all answer in the jewelry department, and that has never been truer than for this season’s other top trend: barely there baubles that make a case for a less-is-more mentality.

Below, we’ve rounded up eight trending jewelry styles for the minimalist, the maximalists, and everyone in between.

At Refinery29, we’re here to help you navigate this overwhelming world of stuff. All of our market picks are independently selected and curated by the editorial team. All product details reflect the price and availability at the time of publication. If you buy or click on something we link to on our site, Refinery29 may earn commission.

Jewelry Trend 2023: Not Your Grandma’s Pearls

Pearls aren’t going anywhere (thank you, Harry Styles). But with the turn of each season comes a slew of interesting new ways to wear them, so we’re predicting even bolder, even better takes on the trend are in store for us all. We’re talking unusual shapes, architectural embellishments, and materials that are anything but traditional — the kind of pearls that’ll have granny clutching hers.

Jewelry Trend 2023: Barely There Baubles

Considering the hashtag #nonecklacetrend has over 5.6 million views on TikTok, some would argue that the biggest jewelry trend right now is, well, no jewelry at all. However, if stepping out without even the slightest something feels to you like leaving the house naked, consider a barely there alternative instead. From chains so thin they’re almost translucent to “sweet nothing rings,” these styles are a minimalist’s dream.

Jewelry Trend 2023: Kid-Friendly

According to Maguire, finding an accessory that can add a pop of color and happiness to your look is key for the seasons ahead. “Shoppers are loving bright and festive charmed jewelry right now!” she says, pointing to brands like Vanessa Arizaga and Lauren Rubinksi as coveted examples. You could even borrow from the little ones in your life. Sharing is caring, after all.

Jewelry Trend 2023: Mixed Media

For an aesthetic that’s fit for maximalists and the indecisive alike, look no further than the mixed-media trend. Instead of choosing between pearls and silver, resin and rose gold, or whatever other materials set your sartorial heart aflutter, opt for a piece that combines them all at once. Break the rules. Mix those metals. The limit does not exist.

Jewelry Trend 2023: Flower Power

From birth flowers to Carrie Bradshaw-approved rosettes, the appeal of floral details is strong, especially with spring now here. Big or small, bright or subdued, there’s no wrong way to rock this floral-forward trend.

Jewelry Trend 2023: Statement Silver

Since silver metallics and aluminum-like materials are all the rage thanks to their party-ready shine and futuristic feel, the trend has found its way into jewelry boxes, too. A statement silver piece adds an undoubtedly stylish touch to your ensemble and is the next best thing to wearing actual foil.

Jewelry Trend 2023: Cuffs

In quintessential Y2K style, cuffs are back. A ubiquitous staple from decades past, this chunky accessory is the sweetest kind of arm candy no matter where on your appendage you choose to wear it (hint: upper arm cuffs are also cool).

Jewelry Trend 2023: Tennis Necklaces

Classic jewelry trends don’t ever go out of fashion, but each season one style among them tends to shine a bit brighter than the rest. Right now, it’s the tennis necklace that’s stealing the spotlight, and when real diamonds are out of the question (and by question we mean budget), lab-grown pieces from brands like Dorsey are an increasingly popular choice. Plus, there are always Cubic Zirconia styles to get the look without breaking the bank.
